Diversity Council

What is Diversity Council (DC)?

Diversity Council of Notre Dame is an assembly of students that serve as a voice for their respective club. Under the Multicultural Student Program and Services, the Diversity Council works to explore the issues of diversity at the University of Notre Dame. Our goal is to promote understanding, awareness, and acceptance of the differences that make up this campus. We work hard to meet the needs of the minorities in the student body and in our clubs. We meet once a week to discuss current events and work towards the betterment of our community.

What is their mission?

“Be the change you want to see in the world”—Gandhi

The council aims to be an active body of change in an increasingly diverse community.

What does the DC Rep do?

The DC Rep for LHS is available to discuss any ideas, questions, and/or concerns LHS members may have regarding diversity at Notre Dame. Our representative serves as a link between the student body and the individuals with the power to implement policy changes. If anyone is interested in attending a meeting and seeing how the process works they are welcome to do so. Meeting are held Monday at 5:30 in La Fun.

Please contact Paty Fernandez de Castro, our DC Rep, at pfernan3@nd.edu for more information.
